The Bank of England has issued a Statistical Notice announcing the availability of a BEEDS user acceptance testing (UAT) environment for statistical reporting firms and software houses to test Bank of England Statistical Taxonomy v1.3.1 FINAL. The UAT environment will be open from 30 March to 17 April 2026 and is described as the last UAT window before live submissions for end-May 2026 data, which are due from mid-June 2026. Statistical reporting firms will be automatically enabled for the BEEDS UAT environment using their existing BEEDS LIVE firm and user details, with firm users’ details automatically uploaded and temporary passwords issued for first-time access. As part of the UAT window, the Bank will update the published list of recognised software houses via the BEEDS portal; recognition requires submission of a valid file for every statistical entry point with valid data, with nil returns not accepted. While Form IP is not mandatory, software houses are strongly encouraged to submit valid Form IP files, which will be reflected when the recognised list is published. Software houses must request UAT access by 20 March 2026, and access to UAT does not grant access to BEEDS LIVE. After the window closes, submissions will be validated and participants notified once their submissions have been reviewed.
