The Indonesia Financial Services Authority has summoned PT Anugerah Digital Indonesia, the operator of the technology-based joint funding service branded Solusiku, to seek clarification after receiving consumer complaints through its Consumer Protection Portal about suspected irregularities in debt collection. The review covers allegations that collection activity may have breached consumer protection principles, including possible misuse of personal data and disclosure of information to parties with no legitimate interest. The authority said its supervisory review is focusing on whether Solusiku’s collection process complies with applicable laws, internal operating procedures and conduct standards, whether official company channels and numbers were used, how the firm oversees internal and third-party collectors, and how it protects consumer personal data during collections. OJK has instructed the firm to temporarily stop any potentially non-compliant collection action against the complainant until the complaint process is complete, submit the required data and explanations, investigate those allegedly involved and take corrective steps, and strengthen oversight of collection staff and third parties. OJK will continue its review and monitoring and may impose administrative sanctions or other supervisory measures if it finds violations.
