The UAE Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) and the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen regulatory cooperation on monitoring auditors and enhancing oversight of audits for companies listed on their regulated financial markets. The MoU covers cooperation on the registration, inspection and supervision of auditors, and sets out arrangements to coordinate audit oversight, exchange experience and develop oversight frameworks across both jurisdictions. The authorities also expect the agreement to support implementation of financial reporting standards and improve the efficiency of audit processes for securities firms operating in the UAE and the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
