The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan published a press release on Chairman Akif Saeed’s participation in the Invest Sri Lanka Capital Market Investment Forum 2025 in Colombo, where he spoke on Pakistan’s regulatory framework and recent reforms and highlighted a new regional cooperation agreement involving Pakistan’s market infrastructure. During the “Navigating Frontier Capital Markets” session, Saeed presented SECP reforms as supporting capital formation, resource allocation and investor confidence. The Pakistan delegation also held discussions with senior representatives from Sri Lanka’s Securities and Exchange Commission and other capital market institutions, and noted the signing of a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding among the Pakistan Stock Exchange, Colombo Stock Exchange and Dhaka Stock Exchange to support collaboration, knowledge sharing and cross-border investment opportunities.
