The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission announced that the Investors Compensation Fund has withdrawn the fund membership of Conotoxia Ltd, TTCM Traders Trust Capital Markets Ltd and OBR Investments Ltd. The step followed CySEC’s decision to withdraw the Cyprus Investment Firm authorisation of all three companies. Under paragraph 6(3) of Directive DI87-07, losing Investors Compensation Fund membership does not remove covered clients’ rights to compensation for investment operations carried out before the loss of membership status, provided the directive’s conditions are met. It also does not prevent the start of the compensation procedure for covered clients.
