The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo reported that Governor Ahmet Ismaili participated in a Regional Economic Outlook meeting with central bank governors and finance ministers during the 2026 Spring Meetings in Washington, DC, chaired by Alfred Kammer, Director of the International Monetary Fund’s European Department. Discussions focused on key economic and financial developments affecting the region, including elevated global uncertainty and ongoing conflicts, the impact of external shocks, persistent inflationary pressures, and risks of inflation spillovers into other sectors. Participants also considered measures to address these challenges, particularly from monetary and fiscal policy perspectives, in a closed-format session.
