The Chile Financial Market Commission has issued amendments to the rules governing State-guaranteed loans granted by banks and their subsidiaries, following a public consultation. The changes align supervisory reporting coverage for Special Guarantee Fund (FOGAES) programmes and expand accounting granularity to support monitoring of a new housing loan subsidy programme. Banks must submit Information Systems Manual Files C70, D62 and E26 covering their subsidiaries and banking support companies, to homologate reporting coverage for FOGAES programmes. The Commission also added supplementary accounts to Chapter C-3 of the Compendium of Accounting Standards to improve assessment of the housing loan subsidy programme created under Law No. 21,748 of 29 May 2025. The amendments apply to data as of December 2025, due for submission in January 2026. If entities have operations linked to new FOGAES programmes in earlier months, they must rectify and submit Files C70, D62 and E26 for the relevant months.
