The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan has completed its Economic Journalism Development Support Programme for students of the Journalism Faculty at Baku Slavic University, closing the initiative with a ceremony held at the central bank. Certificates were awarded to 27 students who completed the programme. Training sessions delivered by central bank staff from October to December covered key topics on central banking and the financial agenda across eight main areas and provided practical guidance on preparing economic news. Deputy Chairman Ali Ahmadov highlighted the growing importance of communication and accurate public information about financial and economic processes, while the bank’s communications leadership linked the initiative to financial literacy and financial inclusion and emphasised cooperation with academia.
