The Angola Capital Markets Commission said it participated in the third ARSEG Conecta conference, organized by the Angolan Insurance Regulation and Supervision Agency, on mandatory insurance in Angola and the transition from regulation to supervision. The event focused on how regulators, supervisory bodies and market participants should coordinate and be held accountable in overseeing mandatory insurance. The commission was represented by Executive Director Vasco Januário. Discussions brought together public and private institutions, insurance market operators and professional associations, with participants highlighting the need to strengthen compliance with mandatory insurance rules, reinforce supervision and improve coordinated action across the sector to protect citizens, companies and the national economy. The commission linked its participation to institutional cooperation and to the promotion of corporate governance, social responsibility and good practices in Angola's financial sector.
