The Insurance Supervision Agency of Montenegro has opened the 2026 public competition for its Annual Award for academic work in insurance. The awards cover the best undergraduate or specialist thesis, master's thesis and doctoral thesis, with prize amounts of EUR 500, EUR 1,000 and EUR 1,500 respectively. Eligible applicants are Montenegrin citizens who defended a qualifying thesis in the calendar year before the award year at a university, faculty or higher education institution in Montenegro or abroad. Agency employees, council members and others involved in deciding the award are excluded, and a person may receive the same category of award only once. A commission appointed by the agency's council will assess submissions against originality and innovation, the relevance of the topic and potential practical application, and may add further criteria for one or more categories. The commission may also decide not to grant an award in a category if no work is submitted or if submissions do not meet the assessment criteria. Submissions must be filed by Sept. 15, 2026, in Montenegrin or English and accompanied by the required academic and identity documentation. The award decisions for each category will be published on the agency's website, and all participants will be notified in writing within 60 days after the submission deadline.
