Ceres announced that Mindy Lubber will step down as CEO and president at the end of 2027 after 23 years leading the sustainability nonprofit. Its board will launch a national search for her successor, while Lubber will remain in her position through the transition. Under Lubber, Ceres expanded its investor and corporate networks and promoted the integration of climate, water and other sustainability risks into financial and business decisions. The organization also supported climate disclosure requirements, climate and energy legislation and investor rights to consider climate risks and opportunities. Ceres plans to provide further updates on the leadership transition in the coming year.
