The National Bank of Moldova reported that the monetary base fell 1.1% from June to MDL 84.641 billion in July 2026, while broad money M3 increased 0.9% to MDL 202.213 billion. Bank deposits rose 0.8% to MDL 148.859 billion, reflecting increases of 0.4% in domestic-currency deposits and 1.5% in foreign-currency deposits. Claims on the economy grew 1.2% to MDL 118.303 billion, with domestic-currency claims up 1.4% and foreign-currency claims, expressed in Moldovan lei, up 0.3%. Foreign-currency claims expressed in euros increased 0.5% to EUR 1.403 billion.
