The National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan has put commemorative gold and silver coins into circulation to mark the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence. The coins use Au 999 gold and Ag 925 silver and depict national symbols, infrastructure and natural landscapes associated with Tajikistan’s development since 1991. The obverse features Tajikistan’s state emblem, the denomination, metal fineness and weight. The reverse carries the anniversary emblem, the dates 1991-2026 and an image of the Independence Complex, alongside depictions of mountains, glaciers, water, a road, a tunnel and a power plant.
