The Angola Insurance Authority (ARSEG) reported on a bilateral meeting with Portugal’s Insurance and Pension Funds Supervisory Authority (ASF) aimed at strengthening institutional cooperation in insurance supervision and progressing an update to the existing cooperation protocol. Held in Lisbon on 19 March, the meeting reviewed the implementation of current cooperation instruments and validated the process for updating the protocol, which ARSEG described as being in the final stage of preparation. The authorities also discussed future joint initiatives including training, technical assistance and exchanges of experience, intended to strengthen ARSEG’s institutional capacity and promote good supervisory practices, with ARSEG linking the dialogue to alignment with international supervisory standards, investor confidence and policyholder protection.
