Net claims on the public sector rose by AWG 38.3 million, reflecting lower government deposits. Annual inflation accelerated to 2.7% from 2.2% in July, mainly due to transport prices, while 12-month average inflation increased to 1.0%. Government revenue fell by AWG 33.9 million from August 2025 to AWG 133.5 million as a AWG 51.1 million decline in nontax revenue outweighed higher tax receipts. Stay-over visitors increased by 9.8% year over year to 145,750, driven mainly by a 47.8% rise in visitors from Latin America.
