The Australian Financial Complaints Authority has opened consultation on its proposed Approach consultation schedule for fiscal 2026-27. Based on stakeholder feedback and operational experience, it proposes consulting on only two Approach documents during the year. The timing and priorities will reflect legislative and regulatory developments, available resources and the need for timely complaint resolution. Approach documents explain how the authority may assess and determine complaints, including its application of legal principles, industry codes, regulatory guidance and good industry practice. Feedback is due by Sept. 4, 2026, after which the authority will consider and respond to submissions.
