The Guernsey Financial Services Commission has notified businesses that the UK Global Human Rights Sanctions entry for Avichai Suissa, unique ID GHR0202, has been corrected and remains subject to sanctions. The UK regime applies in the Bailiwick of Guernsey under local sanctions legislation. All businesses must check for accounts or other relationships involving Suissa or any other designated person or connected party. Relevant funds, assets and economic resources must remain frozen, and businesses must immediately report findings to the Policy & Resources Committee and refrain from making funds or economic resources available unless permitted by a derogation or licence. Regulated firms that identify an affected relationship must also report to the Commission as soon as reasonably practicable after meeting their statutory reporting obligations. The report must include the relevant customer, beneficial owner, key principal, transaction or asset and describe the relationship or transaction, including its value.
