The visit focused on expanding Lao–Korean cooperation, particularly in the finance and banking sector within the ASEAN+3 framework. The discussions were framed around supporting greater stability and strength in regional financial and banking cooperation and ensuring preparedness for potential uncertainties affecting the region and the global economy. The Deputy Governor also expressed appreciation for South Korea’s past support, including its role as chair and co-host of ASEAN+3 meetings in 2024, and indicated an intention to further deepen bilateral financial cooperation.
