The Bank of Canada named Royal Canadian Mounted Police Constable Michael Scott-Doornink as the recipient of its 2026 Law Enforcement Award of Excellence for Counterfeit Deterrence. The award recognizes his work to strengthen collaboration among law enforcement, the Bank and private-sector partners across southern Ontario through outreach, training, intelligence sharing and investigations. Scott-Doornink received the award at the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police Summit in Edmonton on Aug. 18, 2026.
