The Bank of Italy reported that its Eurocoin indicator, based on a set of variables some of which were measured prior to the conflict in the Persian Gulf, edged down to 0.48 in March from 0.54 in February, remaining at high levels but weakening on the back of worsening industrial production data and falling stock prices.
