The National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan reported holding a “Financial Literacy” festival in Dushanbe, organised with credit institutions, insurance organisations and development partners, aimed at improving public access to financial and insurance services and raising financial literacy. The event featured opening remarks from the Deputy Chair of Dushanbe and the Deputy Chair of the National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan, alongside the Director General for Financial Inclusion at the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and included presentations on avoiding financial fraud, the appropriate use of bank credit, savings, business-focused financial literacy, motor vehicle insurance, and the capabilities of the “My Tax” mobile application. The National Bank noted that similar festivals have been held in 27 cities and districts since 2023, reaching more than 65,000 participants, and a day-long exhibition showcased financial and insurance services in the Kurushi Kabir park.
