The National Bank of Serbia reported that its IPS NBS instant payments system processed a new record daily number of transactions on 9 April 2026, with 577,585 payments totalling RSD 7,991,224,206.01. IPS NBS operates 24/7/365 and enables citizens and businesses to make payments at any time, including weekends, non-working days and at night, with funds credited to the payee within seconds. The system has been in operation since 22 October 2018 and the central bank highlighted that the number of payments has remained high and has continued to grow since launch.

The National Bank of Serbia reported a new daily record on its IPS NBS instant payments system on 9 April 2026, with 577,585 transactions totalling RSD 7,991,224,206.01. The 24/7/365 system, in operation since October 2018, continues to see high and growing payment volumes from citizens and businesses.
