The Central Bank of the UAE, in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and the UAE Banks Federation, held its 2026 annual banks reception in Bangkok on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group annual meetings. The event brought together 26 UAE government entities, banks and financial institutions to support international partnerships and joint investment opportunities. More than 600 participants attended, including central bank governors, finance ministers, monetary policymakers, financial institution executives and fintech representatives. Bilateral meetings between UAE bank chief executives and international financial institutions focused on expanding cooperation and identifying joint investments.
