The Superintendency of Banks of the Dominican Republic has reported that nearly 10,000 people have received free training through Escuela SB, its education platform, as the initiative reaches its second anniversary. The program offers more than 30 courses, workshops, talks and conferences for the general public through virtual and in-person formats. The curriculum covers financial education, supervision of financial intermediation entities, regulation and innovation, professional management and development, and banking law. The platform is designed for professionals at supervised entities, users, staff of the authority and other interested participants. According to the authority's records, personal finance topics have attracted strong interest, with the most popular courses focused on loans and credit cards, debt management and family money management. The authority also said Escuela SB has upgraded the audiovisual quality of its asynchronous courses, introduced microlearning in virtual teaching modules and added interactive tools and activities to support learning.
