The US Federal Housing Finance Agency reported that seasonally adjusted house prices rose 0.3% nationwide in July and 2.6% from July 2025. The previously reported unchanged monthly reading for June was maintained. Regional performance varied across the nine census divisions. Monthly changes ranged from a 0.8% decline in the Mountain division to a 1.5% increase in the Middle Atlantic division, while annual gains ranged from 0.6% to 6.3% in the same regions. The flagship House Price Index uses purchase-only data from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and measures changes in single-family home values. The next report, scheduled for Oct. 27, 2026, will include monthly data through August 2026.
