The Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC) published an update on a joint meeting of the ASEAN Working Committee on Capital Market Development (WC-CMD) and the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF), which it co-chaired with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and alongside the Securities and Exchange Commission of Philippines. The meeting focused on updating the joint WC-CMD and ACMF framework and taking stock of ASEAN capital market development priorities, with an emphasis on sustainable finance initiatives. Agenda items covered updates on the ASEAN Economic Community Strategic Plan 2026–2030, the ASEAN Sustainable and Green Taxonomies Project, and the work of the Infrastructure Finance Working Group, Sustainable Finance Working Group, Industry Advisory Panel Working Group, and the Disclosures Working Group. Participants also discussed the Asia GX Consortium, the Joint Sustainable Finance Working Group work plan for 2026–2027, the ASEAN–Australia Sustainable Finance Dialogue, and Asian Development Bank technical assistance on sustainable finance initiatives, with participation from WC-CMD and ACMF members from 11 countries and observers including the ASEAN Secretariat, Japan’s Financial Services Authority, Sustainable Finance Institute Asia, GIZ, and industry representatives.
