Bulgaria’s Ministry of Finance announced that Deputy Minister Metodi Metodiev led a delegation, including Financial Supervision Commission Chair Vasil Golemanski, to the second OECD Financial Markets Week, held from 2–6 March 2026. The engagement was positioned as part of Bulgaria’s application for membership in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. The programme centred on the Financial Markets Committee meeting and its working sessions, which covered global financial market outlook and challenges, links between artificial intelligence and open finance, avenues for institutional investors and households to participate in capital markets, corporate debt market development, and approaches to cyber risks in financial markets.
