The National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan reported that Governor Firdavs Tolibzoda and Tajikistan Finance Minister Faiziddin Kahhorzoda held a joint meeting with IMF official Bo Li during a session of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank constituency group. The discussions focused on Tajikistan’s cooperation with the IMF, particularly technical assistance programs, institutional capacity building and further refinement of macroeconomic policy. In that context, Tolibzoda said Tajikistan’s economy had maintained stable growth despite an unstable global economic environment. He pointed to positive trends in real gross domestic product, international reserves, the assets of financial credit institutions and the development of digital financial services. The meeting also linked IMF cooperation to support for macroeconomic stability, structural reforms and development of the country’s financial system. The sides emphasized readiness to continue constructive dialogue and expand cooperation.
