The National Bank of Moldova has initiated the drafting of an Executive Committee decision to approve preparatory measures for applying the EU regulatory technical standards on cooperation and information exchange between home and host competent authorities when supervising payment institutions and electronic money institutions providing cross-border payment services. The initiative is framed as part of Moldova’s commitments as an EU candidate country under the 2025–2029 National Programme for Accession to the European Union and is intended to support application, at the date of EU accession, of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2021/1722 supplementing Directive (EU) 2015/2366. Stakeholders are invited to submit opinions, proposals and recommendations by 10 April 2026.
