The Superintendency of Banks of the Dominican Republic is participating in the 27th International Book Fair in Santo Domingo to provide financial education guidance at its stand and to showcase new materials aimed at children through its ProUsuario Office for Services and User Protection. With the 2025 fair focused on children’s literature, ProUsuario is distributing the new Ahorropolis magazine, which includes the story “Lolo y la gran meta” and articles explaining the importance of saving in child-friendly language. Staff are also running games and trivia on personal finance and helping visitors download the ProUsuario app, which allows users to consult their credit information, request exclusion from marketing lists, and submit claims, complaints, and reports, as well as access educational content on users’ rights and duties in the financial system. The Superintendency of Banks and ProUsuario stand will remain open through 5 October, and more than 2,000 people had participated in the activities as of 2 October.
