Angola's Ministry of Finance has detailed the latest stage of a FADA initiative to formalize, train and ultimately finance cooperatives in Huambo province. The first phase formalized 212 cooperatives from November 2025, while the current stage provides five days of training on Community Funds, business planning, marketing, financial management and sales techniques. A third phase is expected to provide financing to the formalized cooperatives to support production and income generation. As of Aug. 31, 2026, FADA had approved 971 projects worth more than AOA 11.3 billion in Huambo, with 701 projects disbursed. Nationwide, it had approved 6,873 projects worth more than AOA 88.4 billion and disbursed about AOA 69.7 billion across 5,557 projects. FADA also announced the resumption of its FADA in Your Municipality program to bring services closer to producers and improve access to financing.
