The Montenegro Capital Market Authority has introduced a new financial education initiative, the interactive online game “Kapitalko”, aimed at children and other users seeking to learn basic concepts in finance and capital markets. Presented at the third International Conference “Montenegro Financial Markets” on 17 September 2025, the game follows its main character through everyday situations requiring financial decisions, covering topics such as spending, saving, planning and responsible money management. Players progress by answering questions correctly, with content designed as a mix of educational material and practical challenges for different knowledge levels. The Authority framed the game as a digital extension of its existing financial literacy activities, including its “Kapital” board game sessions with primary school pupils, citing the absence of financial education in Montenegro’s regular primary school curriculum. The game is available free of charge via mobile app stores.
