The Bank of Italy announced that it is co-organising the sixth conference on “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Economics, Finance, and Central Banking” with the European Central Bank and the central banks of Canada, France, England and Spain, and has opened the linked call for papers. The conference is scheduled for 17 November 2025 and will be hosted in Paris by Banque de France. The call for papers closes on 30 April 2025. Topics of interest include diversity and inclusivity within central banks and how this interacts with research and decision-making; gender, racial and other demographic biases affecting household and firm financial decisions and the effectiveness of monetary policy; and the implications of monetary policy, inflation and other macroeconomic shocks for inequality and heterogeneous outcomes across demographic groups. Paper submissions are open until 30 April 2025 ahead of the 17 November 2025 conference.
