The Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance (SUSEP), represented by Director Júlia Normande Lins, participated in the Improve 2025 event in São Paulo to discuss how the insurance sector can play a leading role in climate resilience, including through collaboration between insurers, the public sector and companies. Organised by Zurich Brasil, the event brought together figures from research, business management and regulation. SUSEP took part in the panel on climate resilience and partnerships alongside Edson Franco (CEO, Zurich Brasil), André Andrade (economist and climate change and environmental economics specialist), Claudia Prates (Head of the Climate Transition Department, BNDES), Dyogo Oliveira (President, CNseg) and Rafaela Barreda (Vice President, Fenaber), with broader discussions covering the role of science in resilience, corporate sustainability, and the use of public policies and economic incentives to promote climate resilience.
