Angola’s Ministry of Finance reported that the Angola Development Bank (BDA) formalized five instruments to expand financing for agricultural, agroindustrial and industrial projects, while agreeing to transfer a nonperforming loan portfolio to RECREDIT Gestão de Activos. As of June 30, 2026, the portfolio covered 434 debtors and had an aggregate accounting exposure of about AOA 266.3 billion. The transaction is intended to improve asset management and credit recovery and support more efficient use of BDA resources. A memorandum between BDA and the Agricultural Development Support Fund (FADA) seeks to ease producers’ access to credit, reduce financing constraints and support domestic production, processing and value chain integration. Other agreements address irrigation and food production, soybean oil production and agricultural equipment. FADA also formalized arrangements covering documentation required for financing, enrollment of beneficiaries and workers in mandatory social protection, development of the aquaculture value chain and the Kahosi Agroindustrial Project.
