Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK) and Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to formalise cooperation on the regulation and supervision of digital assets. The MoU is intended to improve coordination between the two jurisdictions and covers information sharing, capacity building, policy discussions, cross-border supervision, and investigative and technical assistance. The announcement also highlights a focus on interoperability, effective implementation of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing standards, and stronger consumer and investor protection alongside supervisory and data-exchange cooperation. The MoU was signed on 13 November 2025 in Dubai and was followed by a bilateral meeting and a series of policy discussions on digital asset supervision.
