The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan held an international seminar with the Bank of Korea to present the final conclusions of joint research under the Knowledge Partnership Program on “Balance of Payments Dynamics in Uzbekistan: A Comprehensive Analysis of Fundamental Determinants, Risk, and Policy Responses”. The research examined Uzbekistan’s balance of payments position, identified fundamental drivers using advanced international models, and assessed external economic risks alongside mechanisms to introduce or improve their prevention. Participants included representatives from both central banks and academics from Hongik University and Dongguk University, with international experts presenting on balance of payments analysis, macroeconomic risk identification and assessment, and policy and institutional approaches drawn from international experience.
