The Jordan Securities Commission organised an awareness workshop for its employees, in cooperation with the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission, on correct practices for integrity standards that make up the National Integrity Index. The workshop covered the Securities Commission’s role in protecting whistleblowers and witnesses within clear foundations, and its preventive role in following up on the National Integrity Index. It also reviewed the five criteria comprising the index: rule of law, accountability, justice, equality and equal opportunities, and good governance. Chairman Emad Abu Haltam linked applying the standards in practice to improving the Commission’s ranking in the Integrity Index and Jordan’s position in the Corruption Perceptions Index, and the session formed part of a wider series of initiatives and partnerships aimed at strengthening integrity and transparency among staff.
