The Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) reported that its director, Sonia Salvatierra, participated in the CReCER 2025 conference in Lima, using the forum to reiterate CNV’s focus on continuous improvement, innovation and simplification, and to frame transparency and accountability as core pillars for developing Argentina’s capital markets. CReCER 2025 brought together government leaders, regulators, accounting professionals and international experts to exchange experience on transparency, accountability, and financial and sustainability information, with the stated aim of strengthening regional markets and supporting private-sector financing. The conference agenda covered the use of artificial intelligence and data analytics in internal controls, financial reporting and external audits, the role of sustainability reporting, and evolving opportunities and risks for the accounting profession. On the sidelines, Salvatierra held a working meeting with the International Foundation for Ethics and Audit (IFEA), which groups the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) and the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA), and emphasized CNV’s work to implement regulation aligned with high international standards.
