The State Bank of Vietnam has issued a decision publishing the list of administrative procedures under its remit that meet the conditions to be provided as online public services on Vietnam’s National Public Service Portal. The catalogue covers 55 online services across areas including payments, banking information technology and foreign exchange, as well as certain reward and commendation procedures. Examples include applications for a bank card issuer identification number (BIN), registration of blank cheque templates, licensing for intermediary payment service providers, opening settlement accounts at the State Bank of Vietnam for credit institutions and foreign bank branches, and several procedures related to gold jewellery production and trade such as eligibility certification, amendments, temporary import permits for re-export, and voluntary cessation. The decision replaces the State Bank of Vietnam’s prior list issued on 31 December 2024 to reflect updated legal requirements and practical needs for delivering administrative procedures electronically via a single-window mechanism.
