The Financial Superintendence of Colombia reported that its Deputy Delegate for Capital Markets, Magda Fernanda Vásquez, participated in the 26th Meeting of Authorities of the Council of the Ibero-American Institute of Securities Markets (IIMV) in San Salvador. The meeting discussed capital markets development, innovation and the supervision of new actors, as well as initiatives to be incorporated into IIMV activities in 2026. Panama was elected to preside over the IIMV for the next two years, and the SFC linked Colombia’s participation in the organisation to strengthening the country’s supervisory capabilities in response to upcoming global market challenges.
