The Albania Financial Services Authority reported that its Executive General Director, Mimoza Kaçi, participated in the 2025 International Conference on Global Insurance Supervision, where she set out the authority’s priorities for managing risk and supporting digital transformation in Albania’s insurance market, including alignment with key European Union frameworks. Speaking on a panel on resilience to risk amid digital transformation, Kaçi described how the use of new technologies is expanding public access to insurance products and emphasised the need for investment in technological infrastructure, capacity building, higher consumer trust, and a more consolidated regulatory and supervisory framework. She also noted ongoing work to harmonise domestic legislation with the EU acquis, including a transition towards Solvency II and the development of operational resilience plans consistent with the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA); the conference was organised by the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) and the International Center for Insurance Regulation (ICIR).
