The Bank of the Lao reported that its Governor, Bounkham Vorachit, hosted Vietnam’s Ambassador to Laos, Nguyen Minh Tam, for a courtesy call focused on Laos–Vietnam cooperation in the banking sector. The ambassador’s visit included congratulations on the governor’s new role and discussions on exchanging experience and expanding cooperation between the two countries. The meeting also referenced ongoing support from Vietnam and highlighted cooperation links between the Bank of the Lao, the State Bank of Vietnam and Lao–Vietnam commercial banking relationships, with both sides indicating they would continue to strengthen bilateral banking ties.
