The National Bank of Moldova has launched the drafting of an Executive Committee decision to approve preparatory measures for applying the EU regulatory technical standards on cooperation and information exchange between competent authorities for payment institutions operating under the right of establishment and the freedom to provide services. The initiative is linked to Moldova’s EU accession commitments under the National Programme for Moldova’s Accession to the European Union for 2025–2029. The measures are intended to enable application, upon EU accession, of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2017/2055, which supplements Directive (EU) 2015/2366 on regulatory technical standards for supervisory cooperation and information exchange. Stakeholders are invited to submit opinions, proposals and recommendations by 10 April 2026.
