The Vietnam State Securities Commission published its 2026 plan for organising the qualifying examination for securities practising certificates, including an indicative timetable, locations, eligibility conditions, exam format and scope. Four exam rounds are planned: Round 1 (applications March to April 2026, exam April 2026) in Ho Chi Minh City; Round 2 (applications May 2026, exam June 2026) in Hanoi; Round 3 (applications August 2026, exam September 2026) in Da Nang or Hanoi; and Round 4 (applications October 2026, exam November 2026) in Ho Chi Minh City. Candidates must be Vietnamese or foreign individuals meeting conditions under the Securities Law and implementing rules, submit an exam registration dossier and pay the required fees. The test will be computer-based multiple choice and will cover (i) law on securities and the Vietnamese securities market and (ii) professional knowledge, with the exam registration dossier also serving as the dossier for issuance of the practising certificate. The Commission will determine the final dates and venues and will publish detailed guidance for each round, including dossier requirements and submission arrangements, on its online portal and the Securities Research and Training Center website.
