The Algeria Market Authority (COSOB) published an update on an investor education day held at the Higher School of Commerce in Kolea as part of World Investor Week, focused on improving students’ understanding of the financial market and responsible and sustainable investment. During the event, COSOB Chairman Youcef Bouzenada announced the launch of the national “FinTech Challenge – FinTalk” competition, which is designed to build financial literacy and encourage youth innovation in financial technology through short educational videos on capital market themes. The programme featured presentations by COSOB experts on the role of an efficient financial market in the modern economy, the current state of Algeria’s financial market and its development prospects, and modern and innovative financing instruments that can support investment and innovation. On the sidelines of the event, the COSOB delegation visited a student exhibition presenting fintech-related project ideas, extending the initiative’s focus on linking academic institutions with financial market bodies.
