The National Bank of Georgia announced that its president, Natia Turnava, has been unanimously elected chair of the Group of Banking Supervisors from Central and Eastern Europe at the group’s 38th annual conference in Moldova. She will hold the BSCEE chair from 16 December 2026 to 15 December 2027. The chair is selected each year on a rotating basis from member states. The National Bank of Georgia will also host the 39th annual BSCEE conference next year for the third time. BSCEE brings together 25 banking supervisory authorities from 24 countries to strengthen cooperation in banking supervision, support the exchange of experience and promote financial stability. Georgia joined the group in 2013 and previously held the chair in 2018 and 2022.
