The Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority reported that Annual Insurance Day 2025 was officially opened in Arusha by Engineer Zena A. Said, Secretary to the Revolutionary Council and Chief Secretary, who commended TIRA for effective performance and for growing Tanzania’s insurance sector. She also praised the preparations for the event, including the Bima Sport Bonanza, Bima Walk, Bima Debate and corporate social responsibility activities. Insurance Commissioner Dr Baghayo Saqware outlined achievements and strategies for the sector and urged insurance service providers to increase efficiency to expand access to insurance products among more Tanzanians, with the meeting attended by insurance company chief executives, insurance consultants, insurance agents and other stakeholders.
