The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and S&P Global Ratings jointly hosted the 15th Annual Islamic Finance Conference at the DIFC Atrium, focusing on the 2025–2026 outlook for Islamic finance and developments in GCC capital markets. Discussions highlighted the industry’s 2024 performance, including 10.6 per cent growth and total sukuk outstanding surpassing USD 1trn for the first time. The agenda included a panel on growth drivers, opportunities and challenges for Islamic finance in 2025–2026, with panellists from Arqaam Capital, HSBC and DAMAC Properties. S&P Global Dow Jones Indices presented fixed income market trends across global, GCC and sukuk markets, followed by a session on global credit conditions and their impact on emerging markets and the GCC, and a final panel on S&P Global Ratings’ GCC cross-sector outlook.
