The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) announced that Sunil Jayawant Kadam has taken charge as Executive Director in Mumbai. His responsibilities include the Information Technology Department, Office of Investor Assistance and Education, Department of Economic and Policy Analysis, General Services Department, Board Cell, RTI & PQ Cell, and matters relating to the National Institute of Securities Markets. Before this appointment, Kadam served as SEBI’s Chief General Manager and has held multiple roles since joining SEBI in 1996, including Registrar at the National Institute of Securities Markets and Regional Director of SEBI’s Northern Regional Office. His past work covered corporation finance, market regulation, surveillance and investigations, including forensic accounting, Indian Depository Receipts, e-voting, Business Responsibility Reports, and legal proceedings such as search and seizure, adjudications and litigation, as well as committee work including the Committee on Disclosures and Accounting Standards.
